Glaad Awards NYC, 2011

GLAAD STANDS FOR GAYS AND LESBIANS ALLIANCE AGAINST DEFAMATION
Currently in the 21st century, we are a audience that witnesses the horrific suicides of gays on our news channels. It's one thing to have your opinion, but it's another to harass someone to death.
Take a stand and stop bullying!
With today's technology, harassments occur faster and more aggressively due to websites such as Formspring. As a recent facilitator for cyberbullying in my school assembly at Talent Unlimited High School I was astonished to find out the facts.

Did you know that every 1 in 3 teens has been cyberbullied?
We live in a nation with no mercy when it comes to letting people be who they are.
You know what...take a stand! If you are being cyberbullied...

1.) Do not delete the messages. Instead block or delete the person
2.) Print out the evidence and give it to the police or your school officials.
3.) Or report them anonymously on Facebook

We are the supporters who will one day achieve the Legalization of Gay, as we did the Don't Ask, Don't Tell Policy.
WE STILL HAVE A DREAM IN IRONICALLY THIS DEMOCRATIC NATION.
When we one day reach this dream, America will officially be a safe haven for true expression...
