My GIFT from THE JULIAN CASABLANCAS AHHHH!!!

Warning: My life will seem like a modern day fairytale to any Strokes fan out there! I'm a HUGE fan of Julian Casablancas, so much that he was my prom date! Yes ma'am, I came to prom exactly the way I look below in Exhibit A. Might I add he was an extremely respectful, and polite date- he was by my side the whole time, and even romantically slow danced with me. Let me just tell you ladies, he was the BEST date, no matter the number of homo sapiens on the dance floor.

Yes, it was magical, in fact as magical as Exhibit B below!

My dear Jenny from the Girls Club, saw him in a coffee shop and told him about me. Julian was SO impressed and delighted that I created him/took him to prom & was a BIG fan, that he wrote my name down in his phone and told her that he wants to give me something. AND behold, the AMAZING, SHOCKING MOMENT when you receive a gift from THE JULIAN CASABLANCAS. AHHHHHHHHHHH! just two days later he PERSONALLY came to the Girls Club and handed her the gift!!!
Thank You SO much Jenny!!!
you cannot even begin to imagine the excitement when I got this in my hands!!!
She sees him again, and thanks him for the gift and he modestly says while playing with his fingers, "do you think she'll like it?" & she answers with an unhesitating "YES, of course she will!!!"
He's SO sweet & caring- reason # 83409280923489098409382 to LOVE him.
I am STILL just as giddy as the first time I layed eyes on his gift. I truly thank him <3

Summer Barbecue Celebration at the Gracie Mansion

Four years of memorizing lines, practicing scenes, and after school rehearsals, and I've earned my Chancellor's Arts Endorsed Diploma! I began my performances in the Talent Unlimited Black Box with playing the honorable character of Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest to playing my senior character of Betty in The Foreigner, my FAVORITE role. I was invited to speak to 7th graders about high school, and about the performing arts. They asked me if going to an art school was fun, and while I answered an unhesitating YES (!) I also took the time to fully explain to them that they will need to put in a lot of time and hard work. The stage only becomes glamorous after the rehearsal process, and while it feels AMAZING to receive flowers and compliments, everyone sees the final product, not the progress it took. Acting is extremely difficult. Coming in as a 9th grader, I thought it was just about memorizing lines, and delivering them authentically. Little did I know...there were intentions, motivations, stakes, subtext, inflection, obstacles, beats, actions, script analysis, and character development, and MUCH more. Acting is truly an outer body experience for me, because its crazy how you can be on stage and forget about all your problems, doubts, and insecurities, and become a person other than yourself. Its a beautiful trance that has served as expression for me. I've found a passion close to my heart, and I will continue studying it in college.
Thank you mom for ALL your support <3

The Virgin Suicides

"We knew the girls were really women in disguise, that they understood love, and even death, and that our job was merely to create the noise that seemed to fascinate them. We knew that they knew everything about us, and that we couldn't fathom them at all."
