whoa a rhino! dude its totally an elephant! can't you tell!?

tangling, colorful, eye catching, squeezable, flinging, countable, trade-able silly bandz are CONQUERING school hallways, and even universities! when did this trend land? and from where...
I WAS ON A QUEST...,
Robert Croak, a man that first promoted concerts in Toledo, turned into a kiddie loving crave monster, but it wasn't HIS idea.
nope. it was actually a trade show in CHINA.
About 3 years ago, Croak and the manager of the factory who produces the bandz, went to visit a trade show. Once Croak saw the bands, he thought that perhaps with the right equipment and technology if they were made thicker, they could be worn! Robert declared them to be "toys"

"The animal bands were hardly new.
The Japanese creators had been recognized with a national design award and had been selling them in America in a limited capacity since 2002.
The Museum of Modern Art Design Store & Japanese department store Takashimaya sold them prior to Robert's claim. New York magazine singled the animal bands out in October of that year, noting that they could be worn as bracelets.
But what Croak saw in China "wasn't Silly Bandz," he says. "We trademarked the name. We created them. We created the craze.""
the silly bandz face book pg has over 255,000 fans!
Silly bandz are far from getting extinct, although some schools have even banned them due to "dangerous flinging". Even Sarah Jessica Parker's kids have been stretching them.
A notorious story of the new fashion trend, is also a false verdict of its truth full creators.
and now a presentation of the new hit single : silly bandz (*LOVE*)

The Mastermind Behind Gaga

SO WHO EXACTLY IS BEHIND THE WORKS OF THE
HOUSE OF GAGA?
<----------
Lady Gaga’s designer – Marko Mitanovkski. Flanking him are make-up artist, Issidora    Petrovic and hair stylist Nina Butkovich-Budden

A few days ago Marko's fashion show took place in my hometown of Split, Croatia.
Serbian native designer Marko Mitanovkski is a fresh face into the world of fashion. But he's taking it like a blizzard with the world's largest client LADY GAGA.
Some say Mitanovski is the Alexander McQueen of London blood.
During London Fashion Week, Marko surprised the crowd with exotic theatrical costumes inspired by the Renaissance, and Macbeth, one of my favorite books.

Review of West Side Story & Memphis

I was REALLY disappointed by w.s.s. In middle school music class, I fell in love with the music and story thanks to my music teacher Alma. While reading the book, at each scene when the song appears in the book, she would tune the w.s.s. CD. I madly wanted to see the show! Thanks to City at Peace (<3), a musical theater activism program I'm involved with, I jumped at the chance to see it for FREE (!) along with Memphis. I clenched the playbill in my hand as the opening number began. My excitement decreased as the show went on, for some reason, it just wasn't as attractive as I thought it would be. The songs and dances were beautiful, but the set design and the projection wasn't as fabulous. Projection-can you believe it, the first thing any actor should have in mind. I couldn't hear half of the text, and I was often lost.
--->I came to the conclusion, that by fact a critic shouldn't have the best seat in the house, but surprisingly the worst ( all the way in the back). This way EVERYTHING can be judged, the articulation, AND the projection.

On the other hand Memphis was exuberant!!! The storyline was cliff-hanging. The music gave me chills on the back of my neck. The catchy beats were contagious, and I felt like dancing in my chair. The set and costumes carried me on a magic carpet to America in the 50s, it was done magnificently. The show was believe able and over the top. The energy was extremely pleasing, and couldn't go about being ignored. There was never a moment I was waiting for something to happen. The actors were real, and nothing in the story seemed "blocked", but instead natural. The performance sucked me onto the stage, and I was on the verge of all my emotions throughout each scene. I came out the theater dancing and singing!

--->I was SO relieved to see that Memphis won at this year's Tony's, as the best musical of the year! Reading PxP magazine, I noticed it took 6 years (!!!) for this musical to be produced! A must see for sure.

Adrienne Bailon from the Cheetah Girls

Adrienne came in with her makeup artist Mario, who did a tutorial class teaching us his specialty of makeup tricks. After wards the guests that appeared at this event, were given
makeup goodies including clinique, and other brands. A cherry on the top at the end of the event.

Sarah Burton as new creative director of Alexander McQueen

The new successor of Alexander McQueen's Label is Sarah  Burton most believed that McQueen will not survive without the creative director himself however the design house has great commercial potential. Sarah has constantly been the designer's "right hand", and she lead McQueen's last runway show after his death during Paris fashion week.
80% of the collection was completed and thanks to Burton's design team, it was completely finished, and received great praise.

Burton said:
"The creation of modern beautifully crafted clothes was at the heart of Lee's vision. I intend to stay true to his legacy."

a pre-collection will be shown in June, with a full collection in Paris during the month of October.
The Gucci group has said that McQueen's business will be further spread, therefore a men's underwear collection will be produced next month under licence.

Arrested for showing God's creation.

Erykah Badu- WINDOW SEAT
This wonderfully talented artist was arrested after getting naked while making this video.
think about this.
fashion is art that we wear.
but the human body is the gift we wear everyday and can't rip of.
she had every right to strip naked.
i feel why get arrested for showing God's creation.

perhaps we're all sinning, because when we wear clothes and makeup, we are hiding the
MOST MAGICAL ART OF ALL.
no, I'm not concluding that we should all be walking naked around right now-
I'm simply stating that those who feel comfortable with themselves should,
why should we be punished because of our skin? and who decided what parts of the body are appropriate to look at and which are not. the human race has lead to this sinning, you know why? because all of a sudden our body parts have just become objects to represent our sexuality. but no one stops to realize that our bodies represent the most beautiful thing in the world - the creation of a baby.
I give Erykah Badu and anyone else who is that open with themselves an applause.
because they represent complete body peace, humanism, and purity.

I declare this my wedding dress...

DLHFOIAHDOIFHAOIDHFOIAJDFLJAOIJFDOSJFOIAJ
my god, Galliano, you surprise me each time,
to do list:

My Quinceanera

15 girls having their Quinceanera in the same place, same time inside NYU's magnificent dining hall turned out a success! I personally was chossen by Celest, my madrina based on my essay of who I am as a person. Once chossen I was paired with Celest to recieve mentoring for the future, and recieve a genorous $1,500 that she has personally raised for my college tuition. NYU's large and wide windows vividly displayed the campus central, and students as all the girls dined with their families and friends.  I was awarded a diploma for my participation of getting choosen, from the Lower East Side Girls Club.
Let's conclude by saying the delicoious green and pink cupcakes disappeared by the end ;D
--------> A woman's intelligence paired with a red strapless dress, lipstick and killer heels is  powerful

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

I attend Talent Unlimited Performing Arts High School as a Drama Major. I got chosen to be in the Honors Rep class, which is the class that gets to perform each semester. For the spring semester we put on One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Everyone can agree this is a difficult piece to convey especially being this young. I got chosen by my drama teacher to play Nurse Ratched. Our performance was excellent, and I was so blessed to be part of a group of highly talented enthusiastic teenagers eager to act. Some may say this is a performance out of our element, but I must conclude that our performance turned out to fit right into our element....

This is my Artist's Wanted Competition Page!

http://www.artistswanted.org/supernova

ha! yeah i know supernova! yeah you guessed it - my nickname, along with nova scotia, novana, and OMMMGGG ITTSSS NOOOVVAAAA! (tehee)

"   Nova Bajamonti Woodside, NY

Biography:
My name is Nova Bajamonti and I am 15 years old. As an attendant at Talent Unlimited High School as a Drama major, and an accepted student of MoMA: Performance and Conceptual Art/ Video and Animation- I'm surrounded by art. The visual reference of my photographs shows both vulnerability and vicious sin, Wrath as a vision- the intensity that is inside both of my character's surreal action appeals. Each persona of the human mind, exaggerates a type of settling dopamine. As my focus I complimented a specific nature most are afraid of showing, which is despair. A type of despair of which is basic - the shutter of utter confusion. Despair and vulnerability both specifically in my photography was taken to the ultimate dramatic characterization. My photography was neither acted nor faked. Instead it’s discreetly symbolic of the human race because no emotions were hidden. I wish everyone would look through my rigorous and dimensional eyes and see the type of euphoria each of us feels when we are told to let our feeling go, and release the tension. And out comes beauty. I am in love with all type of arts. It’s simply amazing how it by fact, its one of the best ways to explain any story in infinite ways. I AM AN ARTIST. I love to create. I love to learn. I love to imagine the impossible. The ironic value art brings to life is that the "impossible" is possible. And through my art I shed a story of the journey that exists in a human beings brain.  "

im rather ashamed of our images of "perfection"

http://blogs.glam.com/glamchic/2010/01/25/barbie-gets-new-designer-duds/
betseyjohnson Barbie designed by Betsey Johnson

alexisbittar barbie designed by Alexis Bittar
it's great the way designers are stepping out of their field of humans into the plastic world, but maybe they don't realize that this move could frantically hurt the self image girls have even more desperately.
BARBIE WAS FIRST CREATED AS A SEX TOY FOR MEN NAMED LILI IN GERMANY...

i bet this never crossed your mind that the barbie sleeping in your storage was once a sex symbol.
girls in china day today are working all day long labors just to create her body.
girls are starving to be like her.
girls are getting operations to become her.
girls wish they had blond hair and blue eyes.
girls are influenced everyday by her...  & perhaps its time we stop this.
why isn't her body structure sculpted with curves. her body is so out of proportion that she wouldn't be able to survive as an actual women, or get her period or give birth.
we have made barbie to destroy all means of normality.

POINT BLANK =
Instead of spending consuming time to put fabric on a barbie, add a brand name, and earn an expensive profit, why don't we ban child labor in 3rd world countries, and make barbie a doll that could actually function as a woman.
